The 'fn' key on my Q3 does not work as expected. When pressing 'fn' + 'e' on my macOS, it should pop up Emoji & Symbol, but nothing happens on my Q3. Please advise.

The fn key on Keychron Q3 is special because different layers will be activated when you are pressing fn key (Q3 Quick Start Guide for more info please read Step 3 The Layers).
On macOS maybe you can try pressing Command + Control + Space bar to wake up Emoji & Symbol.
